If you subtract out acquistion costs (which NT continues to write down each quarter) you may find a different picture here.

bambs, spending growth rates are still expected to be in double digits for 2001. That would put domestic spending alone in the 97+ billion $$ range just for telecomm equipment. not too shabby. tp
