Tim, I mostly agree with you and my heavy cash position reflects this. I agree that SNDK is a little better than the other semi's (but we either get SSTI to join SNDK ot vice versa) and I got back in with a $2 discount today in it. My count (wrong, again) was that we should have turned by miday today, but as it became clear that we will not get an end of day rally, I removed many of my "under the market orders". I still have few "outrageous bids" in some special situations, like a bid just under $36 in MVIS, a bid of $68 on QCOM and a bid somewhere under $70 on QLTI. Yes, I also have a bid in the high 80' for VECO, but do not think I'll get this one (g).

As for the strength in VECO it has more to do with their equipment for the optical communication market, IMHO. The storage people are still not healthy, and RDRT strength, may be, IMHO, "artificial". I think that I may still be able to get back into RDRT in the $8 to $9.5 area.
