I'm not sure Albert. MicronPC (Electronics) appears to have lost a lot of their name recognition over the past two years. They bought out another PC company (i forget the name) and things started going downhill for them. At one time they sold very well in the mail-order business and advertised heavily in computer magazines.

When the internet sales business caught fire, they seemed to miss the boat. Dell has had an outstanding internet sales and support site since day one and I think this is a significant reason that they have blown by everyone in recent years. ALL PC direct sellers need to take notice of Dell's site (Compaq and IBM included).

Maybe Micron's entry into the retail space is an attempt to get some name recognition back and to try to emulate some of Gateway's successes.

I would imagine that Micron (MU and MUEI) is at the bottom of Intel's priority list. MU in particular has slapped Intel in the face a few times in the past year (RAMBUS, VIA, etc). Micron has not done well in the server space so I would think that they need to humor Intel as much as possible to retain some multi-processor supply/support.
