Appreciate that, Aus.. nice link that explains some of the basics of the deal. Now, what do you know about the financial agreement of the deal? What's the level of exposure that SNDK has made financially? Are the products, like the recent 512 Mbit NAND, going to be marketed in products seperately still by both SNDK and Toshiba? Will the facility rent space out to other fabless companies?

Thanks in advance, docpaul

Here's to the future

the following is from a clip from Salomon Smith Barney meeting w/ Nokia

looking for SNDK and flash to show up here hopefully soon

"From a new product stand point we believe Nokia is extremely well positioned.
The company continues to focus on evolving the mobile phone from a voice-only
device to a full multimedia terminal. Nokia views this evolution in 4
stages: text; text and graphics (i.e. send a picture with a note inscribed);
multimedia messages (i.e. download a videoclip from a digital camcorder and
send it to a friend's mobile device); and mobile multimedia. Nokia views the
migration from one stage to the next as an evolution of customer behavior
rather than a revolution of technology adoption."

I need a favor: MP3 Player. My thanks in advance
I am going to buy an MP3 player and I am told the best your money can get (for reasonable price) is the Diamond 500 (64mb) for about 245 dollars.
I don't want to spend the money and then learn that there is a new generation out there with a few gigabytes and compatible price. Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated before I spend the money. I apologies for been on topic but you guys are the experts on this topic.
Thanks

KODAK foresees lower revenues ... from the WSJ:

'You Can't Pin It Down'

"The surprising thing is that it's kind of widespread. You can't pin it down on any one unit performance or any one product," said Mr. Brust, adding that he is considering belt-tightening measures, including a cut in digital research and development."

It seems that KODAK still doesn't have a clue where the future lies. IMHO, a "cut in digital research" is close to suicide in this marketplace.
