TP,

I don't claim to know much about costs of DSL. All I know is that my office is 4K feet from the CO and I can't get SDSL only IDSL which is 144K for $150/mth...

The reason I can't get SDSL is there is fiber ~1Kft down the line, and SDSL must be copper to the CO... Why hasn't somebody made a Cu-fiber-Cu router?

BTW My office is in NH, near MHT Airport and none of the surrounding bulidings can get DSL. I must get a partial/full ($800/mth 1.5MB/sec) T1 line for high speed access... Verision, (formally Bell Atlantic) said I would have SDSL last July. Well now they will not give me a date... Cable via Media One is not available to businesses...

The person I have contracted out my net services will NOT sell DSL because he feels it is unreliable for business use. He prefers a dedicated line that does not require the loop back technology???

So in my case I see a DSL build out as being long and costly.

BTW, I know many people that don't have cable or dish, and it's not a money issue.

Also, I can get a Cable modem at my house but prefer dialup so I don't stay online all day and can get other work done...
