A quote from 3COM earnings report in thestreet.com: Asked about the outlook for sales of the company's PC adapter cards, CEO Eric Benhamou became the latest technology executive to contest Intel's claims that business is tough in Europe. "We have not seen any decline in PC sales across all geographies," he said on the company's conference call. "Our view of the market does not reflect what was reported, or what was assumed to be reported, by Intel."

Don't you realize that the catalyst for all of this was MS's arrogance in ignoring the previous consent decree? Actually JCJ, aside from not violating it, part of the catalyst was the signing of it, as I made reference to in my initial responding post to you: "The last one agreed to is what put Microsoft in this hot spot to begin with. No thanks." As to the arrogance; where you see arrogance, I see courage that we lack so greatly in the business world today, and society as a whole for that matter. Where I see arrogance, is where I don't think you seem to see. This kind of prosecution is like a cancer that can be cured if not be put into remission in THE Courtroom; no need for Kool-Aid-Concessions that will just paint Microsoft further into a corner for a larger Jackal bite down the road. My sense is, as I've said before, that a settlement will surface someday. Personally, I would rather watch it grind it's way through the court(s), completely. No settlement, no concessions, no socialising property. Nothing, 0, accept a FINAL ruling. Then perhaps, some can see where the real arrogance resided. Respectfully, Thunder
