Here's yet another fine example of what happens from The Drug War. The Drug Forfieture Act has, literally, made police departments rich. If you'd do the study, you'd discover so many small police departments have become over-equipped because of the money gained from drugs busts. This is just a variation of the corruption which results from The Drug War.
Thus, police departments drive newer vehicles. So what happens to the old ones? Ever think of this? Ironically, they all get auctioned off to taxi companies. Virtually every taxicab you get in, is a former federal, state or local police car. How 'bout that one, folks? (LOL)
