>>>Just goes to show what a great deal we're getting electing Dick Cheney. Just think, he could be making millions working in the private sector running a large company, but instead, he's elected to take a huge pay cut and serve his country. We're fortunate indeed to have a person of such high ethical standards and management expertise running for Vice President.<<<

Really!?! So it's not the one who has the most money when they die who wins. Hmmm. Could it be you get better standing in heaven and for your children if you go down in history as a vice president, possibly a president? Don't worry, one way or another, Cheney's gonna get the money. I assure you, he didn't give up much when he gave up being CEO of Haliburton. Nope! Not when yer got somethin' better to go to. Tell me, Michael, is not going from CEO of Haliburton to vice president of the United States a step up?

>>>It's laughable to see Democratic (lifelong) politicians like Al Gore denigrate Dick Cheney's private sector experience in the oil industry, and pretend it's a horrible thing to be extremely knowledgeable about an industry so critical to our national security, and prosperity.<<<

My principle complaint with Cheney is that he didn't vote in 14 of the past 16 elections. Don't you agree this is disgusting? He didn't even vote in the most recent Republican Primary. Hey, ever heard of an absentee ballot? Certainly with such a fine staff as Cheney would have at Haliburton, he could have gotten an absentee ballot and voted--in 14 instances. Hey, I'd give a guy a break if it was one, two, maybe even three votes. But 14? Geez, that's a worst example for youth than SnakeEyes'd be willing to admit, don't you agree?

Regarding your comments on energy? I stand by my previous remarks that neither the Republicans or Democrats will do well on that issue. They never have done well on it.
