To many of you who have helped me before with valuable feedbacks, I thought I would follow up with an update on what happened to my system since then.

Ever since wily and Howard informed me about the real purpose of the Windows Resource Meter, I got a little wiser. As Howard suggested, I clear out some of the icon from the system tray (those little icons on the lower right corner of your screen) that were not necessary. Voila!!! My system resources went up to 88%.

Next, I upgraded my Windows to Win98 Second Edition. Afterward, as CatLady suggested, I upgraded my Netscape browser to version 4.75 (I had Version 4.70 before).

From this point on, I was very careful to make sure my System resource from the Resource Meter never reached below 15% if possible.

And the result from all of the above changes was that I did not get as much crash as I used to before. I did occasionally got some freeze up but that was usually after the market closed and I tried to load my spreadsheet program after closing all my trading softwares and windows.

My conclusion is that I don't know which of the change above is truly responsible for the better behavior of my system. Thus, I'll have to conclude that everyone of the above contribute to the overall improvement.

Again, my thanks to all of you who provided me with valuable feedbacks which further improved my understanding of how Win98 really works.
