Jump to first matched term
PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 26, 2000--

New High-end Server, Mission-Critical Services and Innovative Internet Infrastructure Programs to Expand HP Customer Offerings

Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HWP) today announced the HP NetServer 32-way system as part of the Microsoft(R)Windows(R)2000 Datacenter Server solution.

Following the recent announcement of HP's highest-end Unix offering, Superdome, HP once again focuses on the always-on Internet Infrastructure and Total Customer Experience (TCE) with the Windows 2000 Datacenter Server. The Windows 2000 Datacenter Server solution includes several innovative HP offerings for the mission-critical customer. A key component of the TCE approach is an assigned solution manager who manages customer project implementations from initial specification to site installation. HP also included the Windows 2000 Datacenter Server as part of its industry-leading, high-availability continuum program.

HP's two risk management programs are available to assist customers in deploying the Windows 2000 Datacenter Server solution. The Pilot Kit, one of three HP service and support solutions integrated with the Windows 2000 Datacenter Server solution, is a low-priced package that helps customers experiment and fine-tune technologies and applications prior to deployment. The new flexible Risk Free Payment Plan allows customers to structure payments to match their expected revenue or usage projections.

Windows 2000 Datacenter Server is now available as part of the HP NetServer LXr 8500DC system, the HP SureStore E Disk Array XP256 for shared storage, and the HP OpenView manageability software. HP also announced the industry's first and only four-node server and storage cluster configuration to receive Microsoft's certification.

"HP has been working with us every step of the way as we continue with our Windows Datacenter deployment," said Charles J. Gibney, senior vice president, Enterprise Solutions at Genuity. "Their team is making it as easy as possible for us by helping with planning, building and evolving our mission-critical Windows 2000 roll out."

"HP is committed to provide our customers with a world-class total customer experience for these Microsoft Windows 2000 Datacenter Server solutions," said Duane Zitzner, president of HP Computer Systems. "These solutions will leverage HP's proven expertise in delivering enterprise-wide, mission-critical computing solutions as well as our in-depth technical expertise with Windows 2000 and other Microsoft Enterprise 2000 products."

Paul,
RE:"Maybe she will - and just think - you'll get a chance to Flynch a SECOND TIME - and take a big loss this time around - if you really bought back that Intel at $60+ like you said you did."

Ah, you love to pull my leg don't you. Naturally, you exaggerate my Intel losses...but right now they are losses none the less. Who would have thought Intel could turn out to be such a LOSER.
So what you are saying is that if I buy Intel at 39, I'll likely lose money? So you think Intel is going lower than that? Seems you've lost your love of Intel...
