ZO- I meant my feeling about the deal, as written, being surreal. Not the US expansion being surreal.

As I read more details on it, apparently Global One(which is a subsidiary of FT) is responsible for running the fiber across the ocean. At that point a US carrier, Level 3 will take it from there(leasing dark fiber to FT).

So ALA gets the DWDM equipment, while NT gets the SONET equipment contracts. Apparently, it's ALA for long-haul and NT for metro. Kind of switch(pun intended) of sorts. -MikeM(From Florida)
