> a predecessor company of Barrick - way back in the dark ages

A memory test. Barrick was formed by the merger of three companies, if I recall, and I remember the names of two of them.

It irks me when folks claim Barrick is a hedge fund. I don't know any other hedge fund that moves 150 million tons of ore per year in the Nevada desert. They also spend $600 million per year to invest in property, plant, and equipment.
