WRT to Dell, let me arm you with some facts. NTAP was providng the software (ONTAP), the mother board, and NVRAM. All else, including disk drives, cabinet, SCSI controllers, etc., were provided by Dell.

Also, NTAP provided a dedicated team, headed by Cathy Mendoza (wife of NTAP's president) with a great track record, to assist Dell in its marketing and sales training. This went on for well over a year, but I am not sure if it lasted over 2 years.

NTAP also provided, free or at a greatly reduced cost, demo components for the purposes of training and customer demonstration.
