well, Seymour was talking about domestic telcos and last time I looked Cisco was doing better with foreign telcos, no need to assume that a US slowdown would affect Cisco so much as traditional suppliers like old NT.

Furthermore, as you know, enterprise has been surprisingly resilient - and Cisco has no peer there.

Must be some reason Seymour is sour on all but Cisco (growth!!!) and old LU (value???).

At what point would it be reasonable for Cisco to buy old LU for its optical and remaining talent, shedding the poor management and old line products?

Certainly parts of old LU brought under Cisco's wing with its first in class management must be worth much more than they are now in current flounder mode.
