if you want an eye-opener ,check rmbs chart vs naz for the past month,or intc for that matter. the shorts going away is a sure sign that rmbs will continue up. hell,i would not be short rmbs, but then i am biased.can you imagine being short rmbs and fri. evening and mu or infinion rolls belly up? or samsong says yep, rmbs owns sdram ddr and we really love drdram so we will gladly pay the royalty.remember we have ps 2 launch and p4 in oct. a one - two punch. yo rocky

GV,

A decline in short interest during a period of low price volatility often precedes an upward movement in stock price.

Can you explain why that happens? I can envision rationales for why it might go up or down (for example, if the short holders are buying but the price is not increasing, that would indicate that there aren't many long buyers, potentially), and am curious which scenario drives this trend.

TIA,

Dave
