QCOM would be a terrific and informative guinea pig--especially since we do not have in our current sample any company that exerts control of a network solely through its IPR (and, I would also argue, the expertise of its CEO).

So far the project has the following lineup:
I2--Bruce Brown
SEBL--Mike Buckley
NTAP--Down South
JDSU--pending

Kat has also had interest expressed in WIND, YHOO, and GLBX.

In the next day or so we will be working up (plagiarizing, rather) Mike's original memo into a standardized framework for each study. We'll post for general comments, criticism and clarification, suggestions for additions or subtractions, before plunging ahead.

How about twisting Eric L's arm and working on QCOM together?

Best,

Judith
