Exacto. My home domestic LD costs are currently zero, except for the usual fixed tariffs. The sales people from MCI et al cannot understand that - that since I have gotten dsl I have no need for them to bill me. They want to know what I'm paying per minute and I say "I don't know" since my calls are "free" over the internet. We talk in circles as they get more and more flustered. Using dsl, the MS Messenger call quality stands as equal to or better than most cell phone calls. Once flat fees and bundling comes - and it will - middlemen like telecomic will be seen as the dinosaurs they have always been. Huge savings will flow from the end of metering and the detailed billing it requires.
