Stong Buy

Lauren Cooks Levitan, eConsumer

"Last night, Priceline was featured on CBS' 48 Hours in an expose on customer service practices," said Levitan. "Specifically, the story focused on several of the approximately 300 customer service complaints that have been filed against the company since inception. We note that 300 individual complaints represent only 0.004 percent of Priceline's 6.7 million customer base. We believe yesterday's 8 percent sell-off in shares of Priceline was due to investor concern over the content of the 48 Hours. In our view, the program did not raise new concerns or issues regarding Priceline's business. As a result, we view yesterday's share weakness as an attractive buying opportunity for investors and we continue to rate the shares of Priceline as a Strong Buy."

Unless otherwise noted, prices are as of Thursday, September 21, 2000.
