my local Babbages store say they have over 500 customers reserving one - this from 1 store

i have not heard anything about a delay and my sons are all over this

will post if i hear anything

BTW - this stock is up like 100% over the last 6 months on no news

Europe was indeed delayed as announced on Aug 4

PlayStation 2

Delayed Launch (Press Release London, 4th August 2000)

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe today
announced that the PlayStation 2 will go on sale at
the recommended retail price of £299 in the UK,
869DM in Germany and 2990FF in France. Other
European prices will be set with local trade margins
and sales tax rates.

It was also announced that due to completely
unforeseeable and unprecedented consumer
demand for the PS 2 in Japan, the European launch
would be realigned to November 24th.
