You gotta protect the patients. more than anything else And hey, speaking of residents, that reminds me. The Anesthesia residents that weren't up to snuff and were disallowed from my ICU.........aren't they over at your place now? How's that working out anyway?????? you wouldn't recognize them. 8 weeks in our ICU and they're lean mean healin' machines. They consistently rank their rotation here as the best that they experience during their training tenure at your institution. Yes, some of them also pick up English as a second language while they're here, and most of them stay on-call & earn a few $$ as translators for the ED. everyone wins.
