Steve, I happened to catch Seth Tobias on Squawk Box yesterday. It was his contention that the "selective-disclosure" law will actually increase volatility and be worse for the retail investor. His thinking was that if the news comes "all at once," like INTC, there is a cataclysmic reaction. On the other hand, well-placed leaks will "soften" the reaction or spread it out over a longer duration. I'm not sure I buy that logic, because in either case the retail guy will always be the last to know. You nibbling on anything? The last stock I bought was, get this, General Mills!
