Nope. Actually, I'm not all that familiar with the Citrix connection. But dybdahl suggested that:

"I believe that the deal that Microsoft has made with Citrix is the real reason for this limitation. Which again illustrates one of Microsoft problems: Lots of artificial limitations that the GNU world is not restricted by."

As far as consumers, I'll let somebody more familiar with Windows Terminal Services explain exactly what its pixel-depth limitations are, and whether they are limited, as you suggest, to wall paper. Then maybe you can tell me how these limitations HELP consumers!
