"on one of the super market tabloids a front page yapin bout an oct crash and depression.."

Most bullish indicator I've seen in a while. Everything else looking pretty ugly. The Intel markdown really messed up some otherwise handsome (if bearish) charts. Friday should've come tomorrow... Y'all see that new animated Charmin commercial with the happy bear in the woods? Looked like a first for the US mass media: oh the pleasures of comfy defecation. Make a nice Barron's cover... The great Bull Market, the Goldilocks economy--waiting for the happy bear to return from his business. Somehow the latest advertising goofs--Nike's chainsaw massacre, John Hancock's lesbian adoption--also come into play. Has the era of corporate irony reached an inflection point? Are things about to get serious? What if both presidential candidates come across as hopeless next week? Any precedent for a debate in which both candidates stumbled badly?

Meanwhile, the Nasdaq looking for the first consecutive closes below 3700 since May. My system produced a couple of buy stops today. Gotta take the trades--can make money on oversold bounces--but was relieved when they didn't fill.
