Aus - - PocketPC Magazine - November edition has a very good article for QCOM and SNDK.
Andrew Seybold goes outlines the various options available to us today and matter of fact gives the real speeds of GSM v. cdma. Looks pretty clear to anyone reading it.

Also says TDMA wireless service operators do not support dial-up data at this time ( AT&T and SBC BellSouth).

Thisi magazine which I found at an airport yesterday covers what I believe will be the battleground between Q and the rest i.e. in Pocket type devices. I use my Cassio E-115 much more than I use my PC these days and I carry it everywhere. Once it goes wireless and there are surely now wireless modem manufacturers with 1X chips then I'm totally free anywhere in the cdma world. The one innovation of a 1X chip in a wireless modem for my E-115 will be a massive change in all our work patterns.

1X operational ......when?

There are loads of references to SNDK and CF and of course MMC. And loads of comment on the various applications of Pockets that require CF.

I posted this on the QCOM thread.

Best regards,
