Haim, I am just unsure about LU. I believe that I mentioned in a PM that LU concerns me due to their reliance on traditional voice switching products. I am not shooting LU down. It is just a bit fuzzier there than in other camps. I would buy it in a second if I knew how this quarter was going. Keep in mind that the market was still cautiously bullish on LU last quarter until LU prewarned for this quarter. Like everyone else, I would like to see the effects of new products in the pipeline and new inventory and other monetary controls put into place by the new CFO. I want to believe that LU will emerge a winner. I am just not sure. also keep in mind that I was a big LU bull until the last warning. once bitten twice shy...

On a valuation basis, it is the cheapest in the equipment sector.

I will likely repurchase some a bit closer to earnings with a bet that the new CFO is making things right.

On the technology side, I am concerned that the ASND acquisition will begin to see diminishing returns due to massive attrition. Also, the new Chromatis box that is not yet shipping in volume is displacing 5 different optical efforts internally. I am not sure if that is effecting sales for this quarter...

Also keep in mind that McGinn actually stated in his warning that the lowered estimates were not a result of an industry issue, but rather that it was an internal execution problem. NT and CSCO immediately took to the media to reiterate that fact.

like you said, there are only $28 to go <g>. If your call this time is as good as it was a year ago, you will make out well.

Haim, TLAB is also worth considering if it goes much lower. Was a screaming buy at 42 a few months ago; will buy if it gets back there.
