It's a rebadged Unisys ES7000.

Thanks for the info. I guess HP feels that the 32 way is the high end and the last of the Xeon based line (otherwise they might have developed one themselves). Now they have their Superdome, which they announced as upgradeable to IA64, and the top performing Xeon based server in their line. Indicates continued commitment to Intel for high end servers, to me. Some good news anyway.

I haven't heard of any of the top tier OEMs developing servers around AMD chips yet. Just one saying they might be looking at them.
