A house has to have enough certs in house in order to loan them back out as shorted shares to you. When they told you that they couldnt find the shares for you is telling you they have loaned out all of the shares they have on hand. (others shares)

So the issue is heavily shorted, probably in all houses.
What would be funny is if all current long share holders requested their certs! Talk about a short squeeze!!!
