It doesn't matter what you paid for it, what it is worth today is what that matters. Sure, your total return may suck but as an investor, you have to forget about sunk costs and worry about whether it's a compelling investment from current levels. This is true whether a stock has gone up or down from original purchase price.

I've just started following NTPA and think it is a steal at current prices and the market typically over-react in similar cases all the time. Was this stock overpriced at 40? Sure. But that didn't stop the momentum crowd from pushing it up to 90. Now that it's been falling like a rock for months, the same is true in reverse.

With 2+ million shares traded already today and 7+ million in the past 10 days, there has been a huge churn in the 14 million share float of this small (especially now) cap.
Also driving this stock down has been tax loss selling and perhaps some window dressing on the part of the herd-mentality institutional investors (who are relatively heavy into NTPA). They've all taken it in the shorts and now don't want to show that they hold it in their qtr end reporting.

I'm expecting it to be weak through the end of the week but I've started to build a position and will be all to happy to add to it at lower prices tomorrow and Friday. I fully expect this puppy to bounce back up to at least the mid-teens by early November.
