I would not argue about % increase but what I do know that OEMs replacing piii xeon workstation designs with piii's. Therefor the "subsector" growth likely higher than the increase in xeon demand.

BTW since it is intel for intel and the profit per chip is likely of the same order it does not imply any bad news.

% increase in xeons outpacing % increase in pIII may be interpreted as a negative indicator.

ps while I do not have numbers to prove it is very hard for me to believe that xeons maybe somewhere around 10% of total intel's mpus
