Looks like people are selling at any cost. Funds must be getting out of their losers before they have to print their quarter end statements.

Next week should be the beginning of a sustained rise (at least until Intel warns about their 4th quarter).

Sure, the setting of standards is much more valuable than any royalties that may be extracted from them. I regard the trying to extract royalties for standards as a self-defeating one. Would Centronics still be around if they had managed to milk some money from their parallel interface? Would their interface be as common as it is if they had tried that?

This is where Rambus is going wrong, instead of trying to develop IP that others are willing to use, like ARM and MIPS, they are trying to get a slice out of everything that is even vaguely similar to what they hold patents on. This builds resentment and a strong desire to circumvent their IP, regardless of the costs. Rambus is rapidly becoming a boil, and they will get lanced for their efforts...
