Boy, I don't know Frank. Couple of guesses.

"Penalty Box" here, rarely invoked. Mostly just collects dust on it's wooden stool. But maybe the fact that it's there has an influence? Could be.

Only other thing that occurs to me is that threads seem to develop a character after a while that varies over time but usually not all that much. RIG thread is known as an excellent Yahoo thread. One of the reasons I never followed the FLC thread is that a lot of Yahoo friends told me it was real nasty with just the kind of stuff we least want to have here.

How'd your stocks do today? Pretty good I'll bet<G>.

Cheers

Iso

Have you made the acquaintance of the personage who speaks in the regal plural "we," H. R. H. Post Patrol?

Another good day for HGT, the gas royalty trust. Payments from HGT lag 2-3 months behind receipts, so that if natural gas should spike on extreme demand in January, HGT's income will go on increasing into March. And these monthly payments will be automatic, depending on the price of gas. I would expect a certain amount of speculative enthusiasm for the stock if this happens. But even if my own speculation does not pay off as much as I hope, it seems a safe place to be.

But I also have small holdings in a slew of small US and Canadian gas exploration/production outfits, in hopes of their being discovered or taken over. I know one that currently has a P/E of less than 1. Yes--its annual income is less than its price. Or was. Oops. AAVVP is up 100% today.
