OT Another Jersey boy? No wonder this such a good thread! ;o}

Give me just one more sell off in gold stocks and I'll be happy. Did you you see the volume in gold stocks today? I hope some more idiot portfolio manager dump going into next week.

JimP/OT That really IS amazing! Spring Lake's bout 45 min south.

On map, Navisink is the highlands (north) side of Navisink River. Real Brahman turf. Our little hut was a few miles west, in more middle class territory<G>.

Some really incredible real estate along Navisink River Road. CEO of Merrill had beautiful place on the River when I was a broker. Paul Newman and Joann Woodward owned a place a few miles east of him. Huber's had a very nice home further down the road.

And on the "landward" side of the road the huge mansion that's now the Navisink Country Club HQ., used to belong to a dude who for a while owned the Empire State Building and Lord only knows what else!, lol.

The list goes on and on, but you get the picture<g>. Really "over the top" rich and famous stuff.

Did have a close friend who lived 2 doors away from the dacha ML CEO later bought. John's famiy had a beautiful old 20 room Victorian with a lot of river frontage. Used his boat house many times. Great water skiing on that river years ago. Probably too congested now.

Spring Lake's a nice area. My dad once met the guy who founded and was the top kick at U.S. News & World Report for many years. He had a beautiful home in Spring Lake. Can't recall his name.

Anyhow...are we on a roll OR WHAT! This is really fun.

Best
