Andy: (1) If Michigan votes Demo on 11/7, it'll be because the UAW and Teamsters get out the vote. Labor has been a little dormant the past few presidential elections in this area, but I think this election will be different, because one team is clearly pro-working man and working woman and the other team is clearly pro-big business. (2) Am I proud of my kids? You bet I am! My son, a high school senior, was selected recently to be on a panel to interview our town's mayoral candidates in a debate to be televised on the local cable TV channel. I will take some credit for instilling in him a love for public affairs and a skepticism for phonies and fat cats. (3) Re: "You're a walking non-sequitur." I used the same line on Capt. K a few days ago. Come up with your own material. Quit stealing mine.
