But Jim, according to Yahoo they HAVE made a dime. 11 cents to be exact.

I will admit that to bet on Aviva is like betting on which ant will get across the kitchen floor before someone steps on it.

<AVVPP is another oil company with mostly Columbian assets that will never make a dime.>

jim_p, I would never invest a dime in a company with their assets in high-risk South Carolina. Following is a press release from a company in a safer part of the world:

"Business/Energy Editors

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 28, 2000--Seven Seas Petroleum Inc. (AMEX:SEV)(TSE:SVS.U) announced today that it has successfully cut a window in the original casing of the El Segundo 6-E well, and is currently drilling below a measured depth of 8,000 feet. The new vertical hole is being directionally drilled to a target measured depth of approximately 9,400 feet with a planned bottom hole location around 3,200 feet northeast of the surface location. Drilling is expected to continue for approximately 20 more days.

Seven Seas continues to truck production from the Guaduas oil field, and recently increased production to over 5,000 barrels of oil per day. Since Trucking Production commenced on Aug. 9, 2000, the Guaduas oil field has produced over 158,000 barrels of oil, of which approximately 73,000 barrels are attributable to the company's interest.

Seven Seas Petroleum Inc. is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company operating in Colombia, South America. The company's primary emphasis is on further exploration and development of the Guaduas oil field, located in Colombia's prolific Magdalena Basin."
