I have been following this thread off and on since its start and have been wondering about some of the same things you probably have.

I like your idea of doing a challenge with real money and 3rd party accounting. It's the only way to go, lest we have a paper trading genius on our hands :) Or better yet, a yahoo/etrade/ameritrade stock contest trader. Take care

Hey Chapman,
Looking at your posts, you seem to be a follower not a leader. Besides calling people a-holes and dishing ECNC, two fairly difficult acts to follow, you haven't as far as I can see made a single call. No, not that I am scared of any challenge, but in case you miss the point of this exercise, let me explain it to you, (and I am typing slow so you can understand). My only concern and the reason for this thread is to help daytraders who decide for whatever reason God forbid, to choose this as their occupation. There are soo many pitfalls, and traps that even after being in the equity, currency and capital markets for over 10 years, I still get headfaked from time to time. So I know there are better traders than I. The idea of the challenge is to bring them out, and bring them here, and teach each other what works and what doesn't: the doos and taboos of trading. So to answer your question, no I won't set up some account and hire accountants to bean count. You however, are more than welcome to come here, inspire the rest of us to work harder, and teach us something we have not already learned the hard way. If after a day or a week, you prove to be a better trader, than we all win. And as an added bonus, I will change the name of this thread to Chapsui...
