Hi all; Re i815 vs i820. I went over on pricewatch.com and did a search for i815 and i820 motherboards. Here's what I found for pricing counts:

i815 15 pages (though some of the hits are for memory rather than motherboard).

i820 1 pages

If anyone doubts that the i820 is dead, this should make it pretty clear. The i820 has been out for a year, the i815 out for less than half that. In addition, the i820 chipset is about $15 cheaper than the i815, but still the i815 boards way outnumber i820 boards.

RDRAM was too expensive for the desktop market.

Meanwhile, a search for "DDR" gives mostly GeForce based graphics cards, 29 pages.
