The CNET article was talking about two different processors (actually also the UltraSparc III but the main meat was about the delay of UltraSparc V - Ultra III also was delayed when it was first introduced).

#1 is the UltraSparc V which will be coming in 2003 (nothing to do with RDRAM) and that's what the article was about.

#2 At the very end of the article they also mention the MAJC multimedia processor saying it will be out in 2001. The MAJC will be used in graphics cards among other areas and is the one that supports RDRAM.
