As a model of a flip-open with PDA functionality you might look at the new LGJoyphone. The web site is: www.LGJoyphone.com.

"the perfect...."
I've used a laptop on trips and a Psion 3A. The Psion was far easier to use at meetings and in airplanes. You can write and enjoy your pre-dinner drink at the same time. Laptops don't work in that situation.
I now have a Psion Revo plus a T28s which can be used to access the net. A neat small package. The Nokia 9110 had less functionality so I chose the Ericsson M218(REVO in disguise) and T28s combination.
A package with The Revo functionality, GSM, and a G* would be perfect. No bigger than a Nokia 9110 or a Revo. Laptops are nice at home (small foot print) but I prefer the smaller package on trips. Presentations can always be brought along on a CD.
