There is no denying that some of the fundamental issues that he addressed were right on, but like in humor, timing is everything.

Where the internetmaniacs may have overstated the potential of their favorite internet stock, the bears are overstating the negative side of the story....like with most everything else in the world....the truth lies somewhere in between.

I know, I know, this sounds suspiciously like I am advocating seeing something in a gray area, and that is probably worrying some of you who know that I like nice black and white situations, but sometimes, I just gotta go with the obvious answer. (I love writing run-on sentences).

I talked to him once and he told me he is 100% short all the time, thats the strategy of his fund. So in the past if he was up it was shorting out of favor sectors - pretty tough in 1999 but you could have done it with the dow. Fleck sometimes posts on SI on the clown thread and they are always trying to short the hottest stock of the day, I don't think he's dumb enough to do that... haven't seen him on cnbc in a long time.
