Points well taken. Very good comments, have to agree with all of them. Obviously the Street agrees with you too as reflected in the dismal stock price.

It is true that CPQ has over 50% of its revenue from non-PC and Dell is a long way from that scenario. However the main reason for that is Dell's success in selling PCs--since they keep growing marketshare and revenues, they may never get there. However as the (seemingly) only company in the world that can make good money selling PCs, they are now being punished largely for a virtue.

The market just seems to want to find more reasons to dump on Dell. I hope they can sustain the trailing 50 P/E, if so we'll be in good shape.
