Furry,
The sad part about IPM is that it was not the property that was bad. The numbers they had through COC were plenty high enough to build a mine but looking back now i believe management never at any time had any intention of succeeding.
I don't as yet know their reason but had they wanted they could have made a very good mine. I know this is true because i have access to all of the paperwork.

Otter, that post is a keeper.
It should be the epitaph for this thread, but unfortunately, it's not curtain call for IPM, yet.

Lew and Otter.....OK, OK you managed to draw me out of lurker mode on this thread again. Very well said both of you. Otter the fact that all of us, from both camps no less, keep this thread bookmarked makes your words ring even more true.

Lew I had never deleted your peoplemark either because I was interested in what you had to say and was hoping you would surface elsewhere on SI. You never did and I figured you for an alias to avoid the hassel and there was plenty of that as we entered the black hole!

Good Luck!

Wayne

Otter, Yes, I recall how people receivd the criticisms and the stone cold evidence that there is no gold or PGM in that barren desert dirt.
Even the most intractable person realized that the cons of microfine gold etc were just that....cons.
Modern analytical methods work.
I remember well the fast filling of the trench when I suggested a sample be taken. I remember one group that in fact went there and gathered samples, and had them analyzed and found nothing....who chose to quietly exit instead of outing this data to the thread. They only revealed this to me after they had sold off their positions.
And now they are at it again in Australia.....As PT Barnum says.....no point in saying it again here.
I can see some still are suckered in that they feel the property has value. Well, that property has no values. Any that feel it does are fooled ones or crooks getting ready for another kick at the investor cat with that property...so beware.
