There's plenty of gun control laws on the books already. Maybe you should start by asking the Clinton/Gore administration why the Brady bill hasn't been enforced? Federal enforcement of gun laws is down dramatically from that of the Reagan Bush years. Al Gore doesn't give a rat's ass about gun control, after he has your vote. JLA

If there are a few more Columbines in the coming years, there's gonna be a hell of an outcry for far stricter
gun control than what is now being advocated.

Seriously, do any of you guys consider the fact that these kids had a LOT of bombs planted in that school. IF we are successful at disarming CRIMINALS and TERRORISTS (a long shot just like drug wars) of firearms, what will be their next choice, explosives (if it isn't already their 1st choice), germ warfare, computer network or electric grid shutdowns. Committed people are quite content to murder with the item of most convenience.

I think it's the other way around. Who really knows more about guns and gun safety, the NRA or the MMM? Maybe the MMM should have worked with the NRA to promote gun safety education rather than calling for gun control laws that only end up inhibiting the law-abiding. There are approx. 80 million gun owners, who by definition are adults and thus eligible voters. Quite a bloc of voters to confront and alienate. They are obviously not united, but useless gun laws may bring this about eventually.
