Art, MHO only. In a valuation correction, the market is looking for an excuse, any excuse, to lower the PE's of stocks. The excuse doesn't need to make sense. And there is the old "roach" theory applied to earnings warnings, if you see one, there are 100's that you don't see.

I think 80% of S&P 500 stocks are at fair value, or below. We should be close to a point where the valuation correction can end and the markets can rally to new highs, assuming continued earnings growth.
