Jacob: None of us have the slightest idea of course. But I would suggest, simply no - or more clearly, your assumption is probably wrong.

Why?

There is a degree of realism in China - among some groups. Not BTW in the Ministry. But with any luck, they will be gone or less powerful. The overall political leadership seems less beholden to the money bags the Europeans have, or are perhaps more smooth and sophisticated. Who knows.

But once Wu is gone, the path is likely to be smoother for CDMA. He is (to put it not too gently, in the European's pocket). Just an observation from afar, no proof.

We shall see.

Objectively, why would China want to be an island in the wireless world? EU is not going to deploy Chinese tech, and if it is 3 years out minimum then US won't be interested either, and Japan is not interested...and there is money to be made NOW by supplying CDMA gear, so the LAS thing is mostly a bargaining chip, not a silicon chip, IMO.
