I don't think so. More likely to stop losing share to Compaq. Sun doesn't even have their new USIII in any servers yet, I don't think. Also, I don't think Sun and industry standard Intel servers are competing for the same footprints yet.

Dell looks like they're doing a loss leader, like when Safeway puts steak on sale for half price. Except, what else is Dell hoping to get people to put into the shopping cart? Storage? Nope. PCs to be used as clients? Maybe, but that would be like using steak as a loss leader to sell cans of peas. Strange.
