I don't believe MSFT has broken tradition because they need more time to reorganize their reporting categories.

I do believe that they may
1. need more time to consummate insider sales,
2. need more time to carefully construct the best picture of a terrible report,
3. and finally, perhaps they wish to take some benefit from a market debacle by helping to push out of office politicians who have presided over their monopoly prosecution in the courts. This can be most effectively done by delaying 10-K publication by 3 weeks.

They have now admitted that they will take at least a $300 million dollar charge. They will also restate earnings in prior years.

Are we headed for a $35 MSFT?
