Yes, Bear, in the sense of a Tremendous Amount of Fear and Knee Jerk Selling.

Is the Fear legitimate? I think not. But Does that really matter? Yes and No. No, in terms of the bottom line. Yes, in terms of holding on and buying more.

I still see the resolution for the NDX to be Bullish. I don't see a Recession unless Greenspan raises rates some more.

I wouldn't touch the Goldie Stocks yet. At best a Bear Rally to XAU 58-60, then new lows. But even that is very iffy here.

The fundamentals are still awful for Gold. The Dollar index would have to drop below 105 for a move above $290 to be sustainable. 2001 looks much better for a sustainable bull move.

You were surprised by today's move in CMTN too?

At least it was not a preannouncement of an earnings shortfall. Sure felt like it though.

October should be sweeter. The Earnings Release and Conference Call should produce a nice rally.

Lots of Fear out there. You gotta buy Fear, I think, especially when it is "Irrational."
