If its a loan outlay to T, then they are much smarter than me. :) Mine was a loss.

If it a charge where does it show up in the balance sheet. The only place I can imagine is that short term investment will go down by $350mm. To offset this doesn't a charge have to come out of retained earnings or cash.

This charge is meaningless to a company with $24 billion in cash but it does tell you something about how they operate.

P.S.: JC, before you go investing more $ in T, you should read the latest Business Week article regarding the telecom sector. You might reconsider.
