DARBES, Paul is absolutely correct about Dell using some ServerWorks chipsets. Dell, SuperMicro, Asus, and others have moved to this chipset during the past year. Many board makers are adopting this chipset at the low-end also (LE - 2-way server and workstation). Perhaps Paul would care to provide further insight as to why this is happening. I can't understand why anyone would buy other than Intel for 2-way machines?!? Registered DIMMs are almost as expensive as RAMBUS memory. Why would someone pay as much or more for registered SDRAM?!?
