John,

Funny that with AMD run rate for production and sales doing so well, what's happening to our stock? The valuation rate seems to be lagging.

AMD is the Rondey Dangerfield stock. Everybody expects the company to be out of business day after tomorrow, so there is no valuation on future expectation, only on present performance, and even that is doubtful now that Intel has warned. The only thing AMD can do is report increasing profits quarter after quarter to gain credibility.

You can potentially get double appreciation:
- increasing earnings
- increasing credibility (PE)

AMD started this virtuous cycle this year, but got derailed by the incompetent handling of the tax situation to begin the quarter, all the FUD about the state of the PC industry. The lack of chipsecs didn't help either.

The virtuous cycle will probably restart in October / November timeframe
